Easter Egg Hunt

 

 

 

The Easter Bunny came to the park while we were at church. The kids loved finding the Easter eggs with their friends and it was over quickly! Plenty of munchkins were eaten afterwards and we played at the park for a little while, it was a nippy 43 degrees.

Breakfast with the Bunny

Gabe was much more interested in the balloons than anyone calling his name for a quick smile. The girls as usual would go no where near the bunny.

 

The kids loved running around and playing. Parker and his friend, Natalie, are showing us their moves.

 

The girls enjoyed getting their pictures taken with the Spring boards.
Many donut holes were eaten at the breakfast and they enjoyed their balloon creations from the balloon man. One requirement of that job must be plenty of talking and bad jokes.

Easter Best

 

 

 

The kids were dressed in their Easter best for Breakfast with the Easter Bunny so we stopped at our Conservatory in town to get pictures with some flowers; unfortunately it was a snowy day out, they had no spring flowers and it was wet with no place to sit.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

 

 

 

Iris decorated a treasure box during her art class and we learned about The Legend of the Leprechaun...Full of magic and trickery, the leprechauns remain in their hidden world until the night before St. Patrick's Day. On that one night of the year they appear throughout the world to dance and sing and frolic. Disguising themselves as leaves and grass, and sounding like the wind and crickets, they come and go unnoticed. However, it is said that if a decorated treasure box is left empty under the moon, the leprechauns must fill the box with gold or jewels or gifts. But then they will hide the filled box in the most unlikely of places. If the box is found on St. Patrick's Day, the treasure remains in our world. If not, the leprechauns may retrieve what is rightfully theirs. And though the leprechauns are very clever, it is not impossible to find the treasure because, unknowingly, leprechauns often leave a trail of greenery behind them.
Our leprechaun hid the treasure box in the cabinet and left a trail of green (easter) grass throughout the house. Iris hopped out of bed at 5:45 to see if I caught that leprechaun and was so excited to go downstairs and see the trail. I finally let her wake up Parker and Tia and they had a lot of fun searching for the treasure box. The leprechaun left them each a pack of gum, some gold chocolate coins and a swimsuit for each. Parker was said the leprechaun did not bring him a shiny white and green phone with glitter.

Decorating Easter Eggs

After I bought the Easter Egg decorating kit, every day they would ask to decorate eggs. They had a great time putting on their faces, ears, etc. We saved the dying of the eggs for the next time.

Almost 8 months old and a super happy baby.

Swimming...our favorite pastime

 

We had a family swim night through Little Lambs (one of the kids programs). The girls got right in, the water was warm and the building was a warm 80.

 

Gabe loved the water and kicked and splashed when I took him into the deep end, he loved watching all of the kids and fussed when it was over.
